I’ve spent years in pursuit of original spec Trainwreck parts… occasionally getting lucky and finding them and at other times working with vendors to recreate them. In this case the latter formula was applied.
Within the constraints of the best info that I have been able to obtain, these chassis are made to the original TrainWreck specifications. Since I don’t have an original to compare it to I can’t say it’s perfect. These chassis were manufactured by Hammond using a BUD box specification sheet.
These are well made and the attached photo is a typical unit. The outer surfaces of the box are covered with a thin white plastic protective cover so there are minimal scratches on the exposed surfaces. Additionally each chassis has a shrink wrapped cover over it. I uncovered one of them to take the photos.
